Metrocom Cloud Innovation Day – Cloud Sovereignt

Currently, with the rapid advancement of information technology, more and more companies and organizations are shifting to Cloud Computing technology. However, with the increasing number of Cloud services available, concerns about data confidentiality and information security have arisen. The concept of Sovereign Cloud emerges as an attractive solution for those in need of high levels of security and privacy from Cloud services. This is why, on January 31, 2024, at Hotel JS Luwansa, PT Metrocom Global Solusi, in collaboration with xFusion Indonesia and Awanio, organized the Metrocom Cloud Innovation Day event, themed around Cloud Sovereignty. The event was attended by customers of PT Metrocom Global Solusi.

In this event, PT Metrocom Global Solusi, through its speakers, namely Darmawan Bayu Aji (Solution Manager at XFusion), Iskandar Soesman (Co-founder of AWANIO), James Hendrik (Presales Security at PT Metrocom Global Solusi), and Ibrohim Sarif (Solution Architect at Metrocom Cloud), elaborated on solutions that can be utilized to ensure that every cloud user meets the criteria regarding data protection, data governance, security controls, and compliance with local or regional regulations.

It is hoped that through this event, both business stakeholders and organizational actors, whether from the private or governmental sectors, will increasingly understand that with domestic Cloud infrastructure and software technologies that ensure data sovereignty (having high score of TKDN), users gain ease of access to national Cloud services and avoid dependence on Internet connections that cross national borders. This reduces latency and speeds up response times, enabling businesses and organizations to operate more efficiently. Moreover, easy access also means users can quickly configure and manage Cloud services according to their needs.
